Why tiles have to be only square, or rectangular
or hexagonal? Some people must have tried to find something different,
the outcome are some original solutions.
In Middle Age Spain tiles took the shape of "losetas"
and "alfardones", the former are square and the latter
hexagonal
During Italian Renaissance period even triangular
tiles were made
Also from the same period are those round
and square tiles
I have tried to transform Escher's works,
such as "swans" or "sky and water" into tiles.
It has been a hard work to make the various fish-shaped and bird-shaped
tiles fit together, and here you can see the results I have attained.
