TILES (how we make them)

Our tiles are completely handmade in our workshop: we make also glazes and colors and test them to attain the best results in brightness and strength. We paint our decorative motifs overglaze.

The glazes we use are lead-free.

Our tiles are best suited

· For wall covering in kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces (they are as strong as any industrial tile)

· For floors : they have to be installed in composition with other materials such as wood, stone or bricks

· Outdoors: they resist frost if they are mounted on walls in a vertical position. If they are placed flat (i.e. on a table) they have to be sheltered in case of ice.

We fire the tiles twice at 960°Celsius.

The first is a bisque firing for the base , the second fixes glazes and colors
